Sticky Chicken on Rice

Ingredients

  • 1kg/8pcs chicken drumsticks

  • 2 cups long grain white rice

  • 2 ½ cups of water

  • 1 brown onion, sliced

  • 1–2 cups stir fry mix

  • 1 tablespoon garlic & ginger mix

Pantry staples:

  • 50g dark soy sauce

  • 100g golden/light soy sauce

  • 150g oyster sauce

  • Brown sugar or honey

  • Chilli flakes (to taste)

Method

  • Place the chicken drumsticks straight into a baking dish.

  • Add dark soy sauce, golden/light soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic & ginger mix, brown sugar, chilli flakes directly into the baking dish.

  • Add the sliced onion, 1–2 cups of the Pam’s stir fry mix to the baking dish.

  • Stir to coat the chicken and vegetables well and place in the oven on 180 degrees for 30 minutes.

  • Cook 2 cups of rice according to the packet instructions ensuring you rinse the rice thoroughly until water runs clear.

  • Serve over rice and enjoy.
